It's early morning in 1928, Huey Long joins his motorcade of highway policeman at a Texaco Station that was once at four corners on the Old Spanish Trail in Lafayette, Louisiana. They hit the campaign trail, riding from town to town, rallying for his election for Governor and creating excitement in every rural community they go through. "Huey Long is in town!", the people shout as the the Harley Davidson motorcycles purr down the streets.

It was quite an event when the Kingfish came to Town!

Stacy LaFleur, a young artist from Louisiana, has beautifully captured the spirit and the intricate detail of this historic event. The nostalgia of a time long ago is forever preserved in this astounding depiction of a moment in Louisiana's colorful history.

The limited edition prints of this original painting are beautifully printed with gold accent. Prints can be acquired by selecting the "Buy Now" button, above or just send an email to Stacy@StacyLaFleur.com .
